At the Farm - Part IV

Grandma has the magic touch. She got Bella to take a nap in her arms (1.5 hours!)

At the end of harvest, Grandma and Grandpa gave Asher a toy John Deere combine. A perfect gift.

You wouldn't believe how much Bella talks. I don't have any videos of it but she uses sentences! I have many witnesses to prove I'm not exaggerating.

At the Farm - Part III

Picking Rock

Grandpa picks rock using his shovel and here, he is giving Asher some pointers.

Asher loved picking rock. (seriously)

Bella had to spend a lot of rock-picking time in the tractor but occasionally when the situation allowed for it, she got out there and held her own.

Leaf-Raking Operation

We raked leaves for grandma and grandpa and had quite the operation involving the riding tractor and red wagon.

Bella decides putting the leaves on the tractor seat would be better.

Asher "drove" the tractor pulling a wagon full of leaves and Bella was an excellent leaf weight.

In the video, I'm pulling the kids over the farm scale that we use to weigh real wagons full of grain.

Lovin' Fall

Asher is cleaning out the little red wagon Scott found is the obscure corner of grandpa' machine shed.

Cousins really are the best thing ever. Asher's cousin Jordan gave him his John Deere riding tractor that he has outgrown. Needless to say, it was a huge hit.

Harvesting with the Neighbours Equipment

Dad's combine was out of commission when it was important to get the soy beans harvested. So the neighbours rolled in with their BIG equipment to help us out.

You can barely see Asher and Scott up there! About three minutes after Asher got in to ride, he said "I want to do this all day and not even take a nap!"
(one day when he was with grandpa, he took a nap on the floor of the combine cab)

There is a buddy seat next to the driver in the combine so Asher got to ride in it with his daddy. But not so with this tractor. The kind man driving this tractor stopped and offered to let Asher ride with him but there was one catch. He had to go by himself. Asher didn't even hesitate! He jumped right in and later when I came to get him out, he just looked at me through the cab window and shook his head no.

Asher got to sit in two semi trucks.

Scott drove this semi across the field and liked it! He said he could drive a truck....as long as he didn't have to shift out of first gear. :)

The Harvest

Asher loved having meals in the tractor.

This is where we dumped the wagons full of grain into the bins.
